Three ten-year-old girls were attacked by at least two boys in Brunnsparken in Gothenburg on Thursday afternoon. Writes Göteborgs-Posten. Two of the girls suffered minor injuries, the police have lodged a report about the physical abuse. “The attack resulted in a cracked lip and nosebleed on one of the girls, while another may be suffering from a broken nose.” says press spokesperson Jens Andersson.

The circumstances behind the attack are still unclear, but according to press spokesperson Andersson, at least two boys attacked the girls. The three 10-year-old girls themselves state that they were beaten by a gang of boys. The attack is said to have taken place at one of Brunnsparken’s stops. One of the attackers was described as the most active during the assault. It is believed one of the boys also filmed the incident.

Shortly afterwards, the police could see a total of four men running near the crime scene via a surveillance camera. No one has yet been arrested for the assault.

Brunnsparken is located in the centre of Gothenburg. On 2 March 2023, a ten-year-old girl was stabbed in the stomach and suffered life-threatening injuries when a man attacked her at Brunnsparken in broad daylight. The perpetrator at the time was an Iranian immigrant who has a criminal record with dozens of cases, but still walks freely on Swedish streets.
