According to The Sunday Times, a Labour MP paid for a personal shopper, clothes and alterations for Lady Starmer, both before and after the Labour leader became Prime Minister in July. But Labour says it has contacted the authorities about the matter.

Sir Keir Starmer is under investigation for possible breach of parliamentary rules after failing to disclose that some of his wife’s exclusive clothes were bought by his biggest personal donor, Lord Alli.

The Labour MP paid for a personal shopper, clothes and alterations for Lady Victoria Starmer, allegedly both before and after the Labour leader became prime minister in July, according to The Sunday Times.

This year, the British Prime Minister has received almost £19,000 worth of workwear and several pairs of glasses from Lord Alli, the former chairman of fashion retailer Asos, according to The Times. The gifts have been made public.

Alli is considered Asian because both his parents are Indo-Caribbean. His mother, a nurse, is Indo-Trinidadian from Trinidad and Tobago, and his father, a mechanic, is Indo-Guyanese from Guyana. His mother was Hindu and his father Muslim, and he has two brothers, one Hindu and the other Muslim.

This could be interpreted by some Brits as Starmer being bought and paid for by the Muslims he has pledged to protect, while ethnic Brits have no place on Labour’s agenda.

A spokesperson for No 10 Downing Street told Sky News it was an oversight that had been rectified after they “sought advice from the government when they took office”.

– We thought we had followed the rules, but after further questioning this month we have declared additional records.

The Conservatives called for a “full investigation” following The Sunday Times’ report.
A Conservative Party spokesman said:

– It has only taken 10 weeks for Keir Starmer to be investigated for his behaviour.

– After facing allegations of camaraderie and now apparently serious breaches of parliamentary rules, there needs to be a full investigation into the glasses passport scandal.

– There is no doubt that the millions of vulnerable pensioners across the country who have to choose between warmth and food would take a chance on free clothes just to keep warm in the face of Labour’s cruel cuts.

Starmer has only been in Downing Street for a few months but is already breaking all records in terms of unpopularity.
