At the age of 80, former Clinton strategist James Carville has reinvented himself as a wise podcaster for the Democratic Party. But his predictions are usually wrong.
Thinking Kamala Harris would win, he engages in public duels with celebrities to get online clicks and media invitations.
But sometimes he seems reasonable in his attempt to take the party back to Clinton’s glory days of 1992-2000, before the lunatic left took over the party. That said, he too has become part of the New Left’s nihilism, which he reportedly despises.
This is what historian Victor Davis Hanson writes in American Greatness. He writes that Carville diagnosed Donald Trump with tertiary syphilis.
Carville’s «proof» was that he had identified a bruise on Trump’s much-used shaking hand, along with his alleged brain dementia.
Carville described Trump as a «fat, fucking slob» with a «beached whale body». This from a former top Democratic strategist who coined Clinton’s winning phrase during the 1992 campaign, «It’s the economy, stupid». Now the decline has hit him, due to Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Now he spends his energy vilifying Trump as a fat slob with syphilis. Carville’s downfall represents the whole of the West’s so-called liberal media, and also affects people who some mistakenly thought were conservative, such as the Norwegian so-called right-wing Progress Party and the «conservative» podcaster Ole Asbjørn Ness.
What such people are really saying, in their war-mongering and love of LGBTQ ideology, as well as their lack of eagerness to stop immigration, fight crime and end the war in Ukraine, is that they really wish Trump wasn’t president. In my opinion, you can’t claim to be a conservative if you behave like a pathetic wimp who wants to suck up to the «elite».
At the same time, people like Ness are actually saying that they would have preferred Kamala Harris, since that was the alternative. It would have been an economic and security disaster for the US, and without the US, Europe is defenceless. Yet people like Macron, Starmer and the Danish Prime Minister – with the support of the entire Danish parliament – believe that Europe can protect Ukraine from Russia.
The hubris, the overconfidence, is pure suffering to witness. European defence chiefs with many medals and no soldiers are sitting in Paris discussing how much they can do to protect Ukraine. You get tired of the naivety. People like Ness and also the Norwegian billionaire Jan Petter Sissener can’t stand the pressure and run away from the trenches.
The price is paid by Ukrainian and Russian young men, who are slaughtered on the battlefield. At the same time, Zelenskyj and his team rake in huge sums on widespread corruption. Yet Zelenskyj is hailed as a hero. It’s incomprehensible.
Democrats in Congress want men in women’s sports, unlike 70-80 per cent of American citizens. They claimed that they needed legislation to stop mass immigration, but then fell silent when Trump solved the problem in a few weeks, without new laws.
The Democratic Congress under the clumsy leadership of Chuck Schumer and Hakim Jeffries demonstrates its opposition to Trump by cutting videos in which party pamphlets promise to stop «shit». Some female representatives made complete fools of themselves by pretending to dance kickboxing. Cringe, is the word that comes to mind when you see such ridiculous behaviour. AOC was, after all, young and, to many, quite beautiful when she turned to dance as a political tool. But then she had to open her mouth, and only idiocy came out.
That the Democrats refused to stand up and applaud for a 13-year-old dark-skinned boy suffering from a brain tumour says it all. There is not a shred of empathy and compassion among the Democrats’ pathetic representatives. If any Republicans had done something similar, it would of course have been racism.
Yet a virtually united public in Norway wants to replace Trump with the Democrats. It’s almost unbelievable, but at the same time it’s exactly as expected. Doom seems to be the goal.
Members of the Democratic Women’s Caucus wore pink uniforms during the State of the Union address, and were joined by Norway’s US ambassador, Trump-hater Anniken Huitfeldt, who was fired as a foreign secretary in disgrace. Brilliant choice of US ambassador! Well, she fits perfectly into the environment around Norways Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Huitfeldt replacement, Espen Barth Eide, who prefer Hamas to Trump, and is declared persona non grata in Israel.
Al Green shook his cane and screamed like a madman at Trump on the podium and had to be forcibly escorted out of Congress.
What’s going on? Hanson asks.
Like a drug addict who knows his addiction is killing him but can’t stop, the Democratic Party secretly understands that the majority of the American people don’t believe in their transgender, open borders/illegal aliens, reckless spending, fanatical green advocates and racist diversity/equality/inclusion essentialism.
Yet they continue their destructive fixations in fear of their own hardcore base. And who are these radicals running the party?
Is it the students who take to the streets to support the terrorists of Hamas? Or those celebrating Luigi Mangione’s recent murder of a United Health executive? Is it the «anti-racists» in BLM and Antifa, the worst racists of them all? Is it the openly Jew-hating people who love the DEI – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion? Perhaps the corrupt labour unions that behave like babies, leaving American schools to decay?
All of these support the Democrats, this is «their gang», so to speak. Is this the kind of people Sissener and Ness support? Is this what Progress Party leader Sylvi Listhaug or Conservative Party leader Erna Solberg want to continue in Norway?
The Democrats seem completely oblivious to the irony that in order to stop Trump, they will have to become far more unpopular than Trump, writes Hanson.
We are witnessing the most radical counter-revolution of the last 100 years, as the Trump administration seeks to cut government spending and federal bureaucracies. It insists on reciprocal tariffs with friendly, neutral and hostile nations alike.
It will greatly expand energy production, once and for all put an end to illegal immigration, kick out the DEI industry and its blatant racism, restart public health policy, redirect the Pentagon, and generally rethink nearly all of the established leftist government institutions and policies of the last 50 years.
It’s not normal in politics to attempt such radical changes in a country that in the last three elections has been split almost 50/50, but it’s necessary to save the US, and the same goes for Europe. Here in Western Europe, mass immigration, terror, LGBTQ propaganda and climate hysteria continue without anyone protesting.
Trump just keeps on going, just as he promised in the election campaign, exactly what got him elected. In Western Europe, it is considered almost unheard of for a politician to actually keep his or hers campaign promises. It’s almost considered tasteless, unfashionable.
Trumps has a special but unique personality. He seems to enjoy controversy. He sees politics as business, and will make deals by any means, including threats and pressure.
He sees his political modus operandi as akin to building a skyscraper in Manhattan, where success is based on making deals, crushing stubborn opponents and delivering a superior product that the public ultimately appreciates, despite the controversies surrounding its construction and execution.
In Western Europe, it’s hard to find politicians who are able to deport illegal migrants, even those who commit serious crimes. They can’t even stop the financial support schemes for foreign rapists and murderers.
If the Democrats weren’t so embarrassingly infantile that even Trump looks like normality itself, they’d have a chance. But they can’t, they have neither intelligence nor common sense. All they have is a simmering hatred of Trump and his followers, over half the American population. If they continue in this vein, they have no chance against JD Vance in the next presidential election and risk a disastrous midterm election in 2026.
The Democrats currently have only one political goal, which is to vote against virtually all of Trump’s proposals. Even proposals that are supported by the vast majority of Americans are opposed by the Democrats. In addition, Hitler and fascism are mentioned so often that it’s almost comical.
Of course there are some things the Democrats can’t support, but in that case it would have been a good idea to have some kind of counter-agenda, some proposed solutions, not just name-calling against Trump.
But the Democrats just continue with their madness, like spoilt teenagers who don’t get their allowance.
The irony is that by doing all this and more, they’re giving Trump a despised alternative to almost everything he does. The more their poll numbers fall, the more Democrats think they haven’t acted childishly, obnoxiously and rudely enough.
This leaves the Democrats open to the possibility that Trump’s counter-revolution will succeed and they will be left holding the bag, unable to win elections.
The Democrats seemingly want the American people to witness almost daily their desire to bring venom to the US. This with the support of people like Ness, Sissener, all the Norwegian mainstream media and virtually everyone in the Norwegian Parliament.
Many true conservatives want the Democrats to regain some semblance of sanity and become a real and objective political challenger to the MAGA gang, because this will benefit everyone. But we have to realise that this is unlikely to happen.
Madness is like a virus, and there is no vaccine that the Democrats are willing to force on themselves.
