The job of a head of state is to do what is best for his or her own country, its people and business, because this is basically what all heads of state should have as their main focus. Then all countries can compete with each other based on each other’s advantages and conditions. This is what has created China’s economic explosion, which is much greater than most people can imagine.
Politicians who deviate from this simple and obvious principle have created the enormous problems for Europe’s businesses and citizens – who are increasingly losing momentum, purchasing power and vitality. Europe is governed by politicians who want to do what’s best for the world’s people and businesses, often at the expense of their own country.
So when China’s leaders work exclusively for China’s good, and the EU’s leaders also work for China’s good, it is not difficult to understand who will be the winners and who will be the losers. This obvious fact is not understood by the EU’s globalist elite. It is completely beyond their comprehension, because in their reality, all countries, cultures, people, peoples and heads of state are united in making the world a better place for everyone, like little children of the rainbow.
In the minds of the globalists, all nations have entered into a self-sacrificing partnership to save humanity, the environment, the planet and the future through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – but only Western countries are stupid enough to give away money and assets to other countries, and open the borders of their own country to other countries’ people, cultures and conflicts. Everyone should be welcome to do as they please. How well do you think this has worked in “the moral superpower” Sweden?
Investments are already flowing to the US
Trump is a bully who is breaking all the unwritten rules of engagement between global leaders over the past 35 years. He’s not going to kick the bucket, apologise or spend ages on pleasantries and diplomatic negotiations over the next four years. He has no time for that: If the Republicans are to be re-elected in just four years, he needs to deliver results, raise wages and living standards for the working class, lower unemployment and debt, and generally make life a little easier for the average American. Just as Chinese leaders have done for the Chinese in recent decades. See?
No other leader has the power, authority and opportunity to do this. The globalists have made the same mistake as the Japanese at Pearl Harbor: waking a sleeping giant. That’s why Trump is introducing new policies faster than Støre can say “international agreements”, trampling through the globalists’ glasshouse of good intentions like a bull with pine needles in his underpants. The result is not only spectacular – it is also frightening, uncertain, confusing and erratic. Banks and stock exchanges don’t like that, and neither do international trade routes, but Trump doesn’t care about that.
Trump is absolutely certain that the US will come out of this on the plus side in four years’ time. And what happens to all the other countries in the tornado trail he leaves behind is not his problem. It is the problem of other countries’ politicians. As it should be in a healthy political world. And it seems to be working. According to figures from the Trump administration, signals are pouring in that investment and industry are returning to America, now that the country has rid itself of the spectre of energy shortages and the waste of Democratic bureaucracy and wasteful policies. Welcome to getting rich on the American dream.
Globalism is only real for mental ten-year-olds
The self-harm of the globalists has been a gift to all the world’s realpolitik state leaders, those who govern according to how reality is, not how it should be. For 35 years, realists on other continents have utilised every opportunity Western politicians have given them for free to create progress for their countries and peoples, so that their own people are satisfied and do not rebel. The only cost has been to put on a suit and lie to Western leaders that they are 100 per cent globalisation-oriented and that everyone is on the same page. Kumbaya!
It is this dangerous naivety that Trump and the Republicans want to put an end to, and more and more anti-globalisation parties and movements are emerging. Trump’s introduction of tariffs has nothing to do with tariffs, which he is very clear about. It’s a reckoning with destructive globalism, exploitation, self-harm and injustice over 35 years. That’s why political commentators in all Western media talk exclusively about tariffs: A debate about globalism must never be unleashed in Western countries! But here at Document we can tell the truth!
The new anti-globalist realpolitik that is emerging has nothing to do with jaded political theory over a glass of red wine. It only has something to do with actual results, because the facts are clear to more and more people: Globalism does not work. It is impoverishing and destroying Western countries in so many ways that it is becoming impossible to camouflage it any longer. Yet Western leaders and media continue to insist that there is no other way to govern countries and the world than globalism. Anything else is unthinkable, impossible and will be disastrous. And why are Western politicians and media so desperate to defend this blatant lie?
Because the Western globalisers themselves see that the results of their own policies are negative. They have nothing to defend themselves with anymore. They create crisis after crisis after crisis, always blaming everything and everyone else. They are always on the back foot with fire extinguishers and “solutions” that have been tried before without working. And that’s because their policies are fundamentally dysfunctional. They are wrong. It’s as simple as that. Totally wrong all the way. The entire political platform over 35 years is a gigantic Western self-deception.
And everyone knows it, including countries like China, which has always reaped a lot of Western money from its naivety and self-deception, but why should foreign countries that profit from Western self-deception protest? Just destroy yourself, what do we care, or 毀掉你自己而已 我們在乎什麼 as the mafia leaders in Beijing say and laugh all the way to the bank they own.
Trump’s break with globalism
Trump is by no means the first anti-globalist on the scene. Both Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan were highly critical of supranationalism and global governance back in the 1980s. This is not least because international socialism has always had control of the whole world as its main goal – while national socialism had Germany’s control of the whole world as its main goal. But all types of socialism involve a large and omnipotent state, where the individual has zero value – this is what makes all types of socialism so deadly for any society.
Reagan and Thatcher were nationally orientated, but of course had nothing against cooperation between nations. Neither do anti-globalists like Milei in Argentina, Giorgia Meloni in Italy or Le Pen in France. Their point is that co-operation should and must go both ways: If we give, we shall also receive. If you take, we should get just as much in return. If we flag out industry to you, you must buy other goods from us. If you build a mosque here, we will build churches with you. And we don’t believe at all that you have the good of the whole world as your main focus.
Agreements between nations should be about balance and equality. Globalism is all about one-way streets based on poor countries needing to be helped by Western countries in every possible way. Not least because we Western countries have a past as colonisers and slave owners – as if that’s something unique to the West, and as if those living today are in any way to blame for what happened a hundred years ago. The whole political pipe dream is false, and people are getting fed up – because all standards of living have stood still as taxes and duties have increased to support the whole world. That’s why resistance is growing.
But the battle is not over: If you Google anti-globalism, you unfortunately get links that claim that this means isolationist policies and is far-right. Don’t think that almost two generations of globalists are giving up their life’s work that easily. That’s why Trump doesn’t bother wasting time arguing with them. He executes.
Not least because the globalists are incapable of discussing anything without revealing a total lack of education, intellect or common sense. By and large, the only words that come out of their mouths are “racist” and “Nazi”.
That’s how dysfunctional and anti-democratic they are.
