According to reports, the Trump administration has approached federal authorities with allegations of mortgage fraud against New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Documents obtained by Fox News Channel’s programme “The Ingraham Angle” show that the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) against James, according to Fox News.
James is also accused of listing his father as his spouse on loan applications in order to apply as a married couple.
The New York Post reports that the documents show that the property James bought with his father in 1983 and 2000 listed both parties as “husband and wife”. Pulte reportedly wrote that this raises serious questions about the validity of James’ disclosures in the loan applications.
Letitia James has previously filed a civil lawsuit against President Donald Trump, the Trump Organisation and its leadership in 2022, and has also been active in the lawsuit against Trump in Manhattan regarding allegations of falsifying business documents.
So far in 2025, James has spearheaded several lawsuits against the Trump administration.
