It was actually the Jews’ own fault that Muslim thugs attacked Israeli football supporters in Amsterdam. It was the Jews who started the trouble, it is claimed.
Then there is reference to claims in the media that make the same claim. The source is city councillor Jazie Veldhuyzen, who says that Israeli hooligans were behind the violence in Amsterdam.
Veldhuyzen is a so-called anti-racist. On his X there is a picture of him with keffiyeh. So he is not a very credible source. But people who hate Israel jump at the slightest opportunity to place Jews in a ghetto.
They just forget that we are the ones who will end up in the ghetto if Israel loses its existential war.
Who were these terrible holligans who were “deservedly” attacked in Amsterdam on Thursday? Brendan O’Neill of Spiked has taken a closer look.
Gal Binyanmin Tshuva (29) was no hooligan, not a bully, just a supporter. On Thursday, he was surrounded by a raucous, anti-Israel mob. They asked where he was from. “Greece,” he said, in a desperate attempt to avoid their hatred and blows. He was asked to show his passport.
He said he didn’t have it with him, then the violence started. Eventually, he woke up alive in an ambulance, his face covered in blood.
Adi Reuben, 24, was attacked by ten Jew-haters, who broke his nose.
Aaron, a Jewish Briton, saw one of his fellow Israelis trampled on and subjected to anti-Semitic abuse. He intervened to help him. Then he himself was beaten up.
Barak took refuge in Amsterdam’s Holland Casino, along with hundreds of other Israelis, while a mob of 200 people gathered outside and “looked for blood“. A young Israeli man staggered into the casino. “His whole face was blood,” said Barak.
On Telegram, the Muslim mob could be seen using Nazi words like jodenjacht – Jew hunt. Not hooligan hunting, mind you. “Bring fireworks,” they were urged. And they did.
That’s how they attacked this “cancer”, these “dogs” – that’s how they described the Jews. It certainly sounds more like Islamic hate speech than Millwall hooligans.
The fireworks were to be used to “skin” the “dogs” of the Jewish state. Even the worst Liverpool supporters wouldn’t want to clear Manchester of United fans.
It went so far that Esther Voet, the editor-in-chief of a Dutch Jewish newspaper living in the centre of Amsterdam, offered her home to the Israelis fleeing the Judenjacht. “I told them this is a Jewish home and you are safe here,” she says.
So young, bloody Jews need a safe house in Amsterdam in 2024 to hide from a mob that calls them dogs and wants to beat them to a bloody pulp.
But a safe house didn’t help Anne Frank, who hid for two years in the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. She was eventually caught and died in Bergen-Belsen in February 1945, aged 15.
Now we’re heading for Anne Frank’s diary again.
This is what the left in Britain and Europe has apologised for. This is it. In the days since Amsterdam was rocked by a self-proclaimed Jew hunt, left-wing talking heads have furiously tried to explain it away, to “contextualise” it, to say that the Israeli supporters brought it on themselves by being noisy and racist.
But there is no “context” that makes it acceptable to chase after Jewish “dogs”, a slur taken from Islamic scripture. The fact that someone tore down the Hamas flag from a building is no excuse either. Even the worst racist statements do not defend this brutal violence, which the Muslim mob seems to enjoy, almost in a sexual way.
The same left that screams about Donald Trump being a “fascist” supports the real fascists a few days later. It’s sickening.
They cry virtuous tears over fake fascism, while borderline apologising for what feels like real fascism. Listen – when Europe’s middle class starts “contextualising” anti-Jewish violence, it’s time to worry.
What about the U17 team of the Jewish team TuS Makkabi, who were hunted with sticks and knives in Berlin a few days later? Were they also hooligans?
Players from the opposing team allegedly shouted “Free Palestine” at the Jewish team, one of the players’ fathers told the media. The children were also allegedly spat on repeatedly, with the father claiming that the referee failed to intervene.
The Maccabi fans “rampaged through the city”, said Owen Jones. They “tore down” flags and “attacked local residents”, he shouted.
Firstly, those are ridiculous arguments. Second, Owen Jones, who writes for The Guardian, is the same guy who told the rape victims in Rotherham and elsewhere to shut up, for the sake of “diversity”.
‘Those abused girls in Rotherham and elsewhere just need to shut their mouths. For the good of diversity.’
The Israeli fans who “rampaged around Amsterdam deserved it,” said Rivkah Brown of Novara Media. “They messed around and found out,” she scoffed.
Privileged left-wing radicals like Brown were able to describe 7 October as a “day to celebrate“. Brown is Jewish, by the way, but like all left-wing radicals she seems to hate her own people.
What about this guy? Did he deserve what he’s being subjected to?

I’m not going to say out loud what I think people like Jones and Brown deserve. Let’s hope there’s a heaven and a hell, so to speak.
There seems to be a new rule on the woke left: If some members of an ethnic group behave badly, we shouldn’t be surprised if other members of that ethnic group are attacked.
So the next time some Muslims do something violent, which happens every single day, will they say we shouldn’t be surprised if European racists go out and attack random Muslims on the street?
Of course, some of the Israeli supporters may have shouted slogans that could be perceived as offensive, this was a football match, not Afternoon Tea. But when the mob is walking the streets asking people – ‘Are you Yehudi?‘ – it’s not the ones hurling abuse that you’re looking for.
Jewishness is enough to get the blood flowing. Soon it will be our turn. The question is who are our worst enemies: The jihadists or those of our own people who support them.
