Passers-by found the injured man with stab wounds to the upper body and called an ambulance, which notified the police.

We are talking about a man who was found in the city centre last night. We do not want to disclose the age of the person at this time. He was awake and conscious when he was found and sent to hospital for surgery. We are working on the case with both operatives and investigators.
