At least nine people were killed and nearly 3,000 injured when a pile of pagers exploded in Lebanon.

This according to the Times of Israel.

The number of dead and injured is growing by the minute, and while I was writing this story, unconfirmed rumours emerged of 50 dead and 4,000 injured. It’s a bit difficult to get an overview.

As Document wrote, the pagers were mainly used by the terrorist group Hezbollah. Israel is accused of being behind it, and since Hezbollah and Hamas are Iran’s proxy fighters, there is a very tense situation in the Middle East right now.

The incident is serious enough to fear that Israel must prepare for a war on several fronts. The existential war could become a reality, while support from Western countries is slowly but surely disappearing. Biden has ensured that Israel’s main enemy, Iran, has enough money for a protracted war.

Victor Davis Hanson: Israel is in an existential war

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant have participated in discussions on how Israel should respond to a potential escalation by Hezbollah following the pager attack, reports The Telegraph.

Hewbrew media reported that top defence officials have been summoned to an urgent discussion with government officials at the defence ministry’s headquarters at the Kirya base in Tel Aviv.

Hezbollah has issued a statement saying it is conducting a “comprehensive security and scientific investigation to determine the causes that led to these simultaneous explosions”.
<“We confirm that the resistance, at all levels and in all units, is at the highest level of readiness to defend Lebanon and its steadfast people,” added a Hezbollah spokesperson.

Earlier today, Israel’s internal security service, Shin Bet, reportedly prevented Hezbollah’s attempt to assassinate a former Israeli security chief.

The bomb was to be deployed in the coming days, using a remote detonation system from Lebanon; the agency says the same network was behind the attack in Hayarkon Park in September 2022.

Norway, of course, chooses to support the Palestinian Arabs, and increased its support for Hamas after 7 October. But the Labour government in London is also failing the Jews. They have stopped the delivery of weapons used by the Israel Defence Forces in their defensive war against Hamas.

In the US, the Biden regime is faltering, and there is still a long way to go before Trump takes over in January 2025.

If Harris wins the election, things look bleak for Israel. The EU has already chosen sides. Everyone is clamouring for a two-state solution, which is how Western politicians will reward the terror of 7 October.

In fact, there is already a two-state solution. Most so-called Palestinians are originally from Jordan, and some are from Egypt. But they are, for some strange reason, not welcomed in these Arab countries.

So far, the IDF has not commented on the events on its X.

Now there are also reports of explosions of a similar type in Syria. There are also rumours that mobile phones have exploded. This has not been confirmed, but Document is following the case.
