The six young hostages found in Rafah by the IDF were alive a few days before they were found. They were brutally murdered by Hamas. In doing so, Hamas is sending a signal that it will fight and destroy the Jews, just as it opened the war on 7 October.

Although the peace movement accuses Netanyahu of failing, there is no doubt that the Israelis recognise that Hamas is not someone to negotiate with. They have shown once again that they are murderers.

Five of the hostages were taken at the Nova music festival. So Hamas has kept them alive until now, just to kill them. It shows a contempt for their lives that impresses an entire world. The act is so brutal that it also interferes with the American election campaign.

At least two Israelis were killed when their car was shot at in the West Bank, Israeli media reports. At the same time, new details are emerging about the six hostages found in a tunnel on Saturday.

In a statement via the Israeli Foreign Ministry on Saturday evening, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said they found the dead while in combat.

IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the six were “brutally murdered” by Hamas shortly before the troops arrived – possibly just a day or two before they were found.
“According to an initial assessment, they were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists shortly before we reached them. They were abducted alive on the morning of 7 October by the terrorist group Hamas,” Hagari said at a press conference.
“Their bodies were found during the fighting in Rafah, in a tunnel, about a kilometre away from the tunnel that we rescued Farhan al-Qadi out of a few days ago,” he said.
