There has been an explosion in the Söderkulla neighbourhood of Malmö, Sweden. The explosion was reported at a quarter to two in the morning on Wednesday.
Police confirm that they have responded to the scene, which is adjacent to an apartment block. The area is now cordoned off.
“We have resources out that have just arrived at the scene, adjacent to an apartment block. The area has been cordoned off,” says Ola Sunesson Almström, duty officer at the police, to the newspaper Sydsvenskan.
The police have confirmed that there is damage to the building and have called in the national bomb squad. Images from Sydsvenskan show broken windows in a gate and other windows.
So far, there are no reports of injuries.
