Aftenposten was named this year’s media house when the media awards were handed out in Bergen on Wednesday evening.
Editor-in-chief Trine Eilertsen was completely beside herself with excitement.
Now I am so relieved and happy. We deserved this, says Eilertsen to Medier24.
In the jury’s reasoning, Aftenposten was described as “a complete media house”.
That’s great to hear. I am like most Westerners who think all the time about what we are not and what we lack. We still have a lot to do, says Eilertsen.
Aftenposten has received a number of awards in recent years.
They won the SKUP award in both 2021 and 2022. They also won the big journalist award together with BT last year.
However, Aftenposten is behind Document when it comes to the number of shared posts on social media.
Document is also Norway’s largest conservative news medium, it has a large and engaged readership. Monthly we have around 400,000 unique readers who spend a lot of time reading articles and comments.
Do you think Document should maybe win some awards too?
